Distinguished Professor Vicky Avery is the Director, Centre for Cellular Phenomics, Griffith University; Principal Research Leader, Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery; Head of Griffith’s Drug Discovery Programme for Cancer Therapeutics and Research Member, Infectious Diseases and Immunity, Menzies Health Institute Queensland.
Distinguished Professor Avery is a world recognised and respected leader in drug discovery, with considerable experience in high-content imaging and high throughput screening. She established world-class facilities and amongst her contributions, pioneered image-based drug discovery
for parasitic diseases. Throughout her career, she has made significant contributions to the development of innovative techniques and new candidate drugs, improving treatment options for numerous disease indications.
